1 Corinthians 15:20

20 Νυνὶ δὲ Χριστὸς ἐγήγερται ἐκ νεκρῶν ἀπαρχὴ τῶν κεκοιμημένων.

20 But as a matter of fact, Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep.

Νυνὶ – adv. “introducing the real situation after an unreal conditional clause or sentence” (BDAG 2.b.).

δὲ – contrastive conj. [W671-72].

Χριστὸς – nom. subj. of the main verb.

ἐγήγερται – main verb [perf-pass-ind-3-s-εγείρω]. Probably the extensive/consummative perfect, though intensive/resultative perfect is possible too [W574-77]. Theological/divine passive [W437-38].

ἐκ νεκρῶν – prep. phrase. Anarthrous, substantival adjective. Literally, “out of (the) dead (ones).” Just because it is anarthrous does not mean that it is indefinite. It is very common for there to be no article in a prepositional phrase and for the object of the preposition to be definite [W247].

ἀπαρχὴ – nom. in simple apposition to the nom. subj. Χριστὸς [W48-49].

τῶν κεκοιμημένων. – art-adj-substv-ptc [perf-pass-ptc-masc-pl-gen-κοιμάω]. Partitive/wholative gen. [W84-86].
