33 μὴ πλανᾶσθε· φθείρουσιν ἤθη χρηστὰ ὁμιλίαι κακαί.
33 Do not be deceived: “Bad company corrupts good habits.”
μὴ – neg. adv.
πλανᾶσθε· – subj. and main verb [pres-pass-impv-2-p-πλανάω]. Prohibition, a general precept (customary) [W724-25]. Confirmed by the gnomic present of the next word.
φθείρουσιν – main verb [pres-act-ind-3-p-φθείρω]. Gnomic present [W523-25]. This is a quote from the poet Menander who was perhaps quoting from Euripides.
ἤθη χρηστὰ – acc. dir. obj.
ὁμιλίαι κακαί. – nom. subj.
