As a way to prepare for Easter, I invite you to join me on a 58 day journey through the 58 verses of 1 Corinthians 15 in Greek. Below is a link to the video. Click here for the previous video on 1 Cor 15:36 and click here for the next video on 1 Cor 15:38.

1 Corinthians 15:37
37 καὶ ὃ σπείρεις, οὐ τὸ σῶμα τὸ γενησόμενον σπείρεις ἀλλὰ γυμνὸν κόκκον εἰ τύχοι σίτου ἤ τινος τῶν λοιπῶν·
37 And (as for) what you sow, you do not sow the body which is going to be, but rather (you sow) a naked kernel, perhaps of wheat or of some of the other (types of kernels).
καὶ – connective conj. [W671].
ὃ – rel. pronoun marking a rel. clause. It is the acc. dir. obj. of the rel. clause. The implied antecedent is probably σπέρμα which is why ὃ is neut. The rel. clause here acts kind of like an acc. of reference/respect [W203-04] or like a pendent nominative or nominative of reference [W51-53]; it is somewhat grammatically detached and independent from the main clause.
σπείρεις, – subj. and verb of the rel. clause [pres-act-ind-2-s-σπείρω]. Customary present [W521-22].
οὐ – neg. adv.
τὸ σῶμα τὸ γενησόμενον – acc. dir. obj. [fut-mid/dep-ptc-neut-sg-acc-γίνομαι]. τὸ γενησόμενον is an art-adj-attr-ptc [W618].
σπείρεις – subj. and main verb [pres-act-ind-2-s-σπείρω].
ἀλλὰ – contrastive conj. [W671-72].
γυμνὸν κόκκον – second acc. dir. obj. of σπείρεις.
εἰ τύχοι – an idiomatic formula for “if it should turn out that way, perhaps” (BDAG 2.b.).
σίτου – either a gen. of material (a kernel made out of wheat) [W91-92] or gen. of product (a kernel which produces wheat) [W106-07].
ἤ – disjunctive/alternative conj. [W672].
τινος – like σίτου, this is either a gen. of material (a kernel made out of some others) [W91-92] or gen. of product (a kernel which produces some others) [W106-07].
τῶν λοιπῶν· – partitive/wholative gen. [W84-86]. Substantival adj.
